Ruby Newborn- Westerville, Oh Newborn Photographer

Oh sweet Ruby. She made me work to get her to sleep, but I have to admit, I love the pictures I got with her wide awake. I mean, newborns aren't known for their eye contact in pictures but it looks like she's looking right at me. Such a little sweetie. And mama had some cute little props to use for her pictures. They didn't know what they were having until Ruby was here, so she said they worked hard to change the color of the scarf of the snowman the night before pictures! She was wide awake at the end of the session, but I got some great wide eyed shots. And Ruby is their rainbow baby, so she wanted to incorporate that. I love some of the ideas she had! Such a sweet family. Love the pictures I got with her daddy too! I'll quit typing and let you enjoy the pictures :)

Emma turns One- Westerville, Oh Childrens Photographer

Bev has been my friend since 5th grade....which is a long time :) I was able to do Emma's newborn pictures last year (hint:she's my main picture on my website :) and she just turned one! So of course we had to do a first birthday session! And her mama makes the BEST cakes, take it from me...they're amazing! So Bev made Emma's smash cake, and cupcake. You'll see a swap out in the smash cake session. We did what we had to do to keep Emma happy. Bev also brought one of Emma's newborn pictures I took to use in one of the pictures. Such a cute idea! Michelle Maternity- Westerville, Oh Maternity Photographer

I had such a great time meeting Michelle and Jeff. They're expecting their little one here soon, so I'm glad I got them done before she arrives. They were the sweetest couple. The weather was surprisingly warm for the time of year, so we took advantage of it and got some outdoor shots as well. I can't wait to meet their little girl when she arrives. How adorable is Michelle?!?! I wish I looked that good when I was pregnant :)

Lucy Turns One

Wow! I am seriously loving all these 1st birthday shoots I've been doing the past 2 months. I'm great friends with Lucy's mommy and have been doing Lucy's pictures every 3 months since she was a newborn. So I've LOVED watching her grow. And seeing how sweet Lucy and her big brother, August, interact is adorable. Never a dull or still moment at this shoot....but so much fun! Enjoy Lucy's 1st birthday pictures!

Oh sweet Tanner. I can't believe you are a big one year old. Just a year ago, you were fighting me on sleeping during your newborn sessions :) Goodness, he is a cutie!! I love watching the ones I shoot as newborns grow up! So much fun. And of course, knowing his mama for a while helps make it even more fun. I love how his pictures turned out and how his personality shows in them all! And he is the first kid....since my own son, who hated the cake smash!! Mom and dad had a lot of fun though :)

I met the Burkhart family last year about this time when Maggie was only a month or so old. And now she's a lively one year old with an adorable personality! I had a great time at her session and she was such a cutie, parading around in her little pigtails, showing off for the camera :) I also got a picture with her brother and cousins. She's a little outnumbered, but that means more boys to take care of her! And then came her cake! She was hilarious with her cake. She loved every last scrap that she had! So sweet! Hunt Family- Westerville Oh Family Photography

I was so excited to hear back from Kylie to do her family pictures. You might recognize the boys from my cutest kid contest I had a few years ago. They were the winners....and so darn cute. Of course when we scheduled their session, we had had like 60 degree weather in December so we thought it would be fine. Then the weather decided to get cold before their session. They were champs braving the cold!! Loved seeing this family again and getting some pictures for them! I just love this one of the brothers :) I love how Mason is giggling in it!

Such a sweet couple!!

They don't look cold at all, right :)

Connor- Senior Rep Westerville, Oh Senior Photographer

This was my 2nd session with Connor for his senior pictures and this time we went to his High School, Olentangy Orange High School. I was blown away with their facilities. We got some great shots on the football field. Connor play both Lacrosse and Football. I played around with photoshop on a few pictures, which I don't normally do, but I love the dramatics it put on the pictures. See if you can guess which ones I played with....I'm sure you'll be able to tell :) Thanks Connor for representing KLP! Good luck after graduation!!

So I've known Matthew since he was in Kindergarten. That's how old my son is!! Matthew even caught the garter at my wedding. I'll have to see if I can find that amazing picture. Ha! I can't believe he is a senior, but am so excited for him! He is such a sweet kid and is going to do something awesome once he graduates, I know it :) We had a perfect fall day for our session. That was his one request..... to have a session in the fall. That we did! Check out how awesome his session turned out.

Oh sweet Lila. She was my chubbiest cutie I had for a newborn. A whopping 11 pounds (right Melissa??). And all the rolls you could kiss on all day :) Now she's a little one year old with cute little rolls in her legs ;) Goodness she's a cutie! Loved catching up with my old neighbor as well. The M family used to live a few doors down from us and decided to leave our fun cul de sac. Ha! So glad I was able to take sweet Lila's one year pics.

Cole was one of my senior reps this year, and I'm so thankful for his patient family who didn't mind me taking (what seems like to me) forever to get them back to them!! Cole was a natural. He's the type of kid you can say smile and he looks great and 2 frames later he gives me a serious look and looks awesome. That's honestly hard to do. I know I can't do that. We had an awesome fall day for our session and I love the colors in his pictures! Here are a few from our session.

I was excited when Jordan's mom, Stephanie, contacted me to do his senior pictures! I've known Stephanie pretty much my entire life. My sister and her were the same age and were great friends. I remember my sister and Stephanie "teaching" me how to play barbies....I'm 7 years younger than them so they felt they were too old to play with them, but not too old to teach someone how to play :) So Jordan was such a good sport. He let me lead him into a thistle grown area to get a few shots and froze in his shorts and shorts sleeves because it was only, I believe, in the high 30's. So thank you Jordan for letting me get some awesome shots!

Welcome to my new site! I have changed things around a bit, so hopefully things will be easy for you all to find things. Of course, let me know if you have any questions! As you may have noticed, I'm awful at keeping my blog up to date. It just slips my mind, to be honest. Plus, fall was SO SO SO busy for me. Crazy busy. I learned a lot from scheduling my sessions, so next year I won't be cutting it so close for some people :) Thank you to everyone who let me take pics of all your memories in 2014 and I'm so in love with everything I've got to do so far this year.

I'll be posting new announcements and sessions on here. But don't expect it to be every day :) It will probably be like 10 posts in one day every month or 2. That's how I roll! If there's anything you'd like to see on my site, just let me know. Or if there's anything that would be easier for you that I can maybe change, let me know! Thanks again for helping me capture memories of your families! Sounds cheesy, but exactly what I love doing :)

And with that, I'll leave you with some pics I took at the end of last year of my adorable kiddos!!
